Please share with any A/PA parents who may be interested.  Deadline is January 31st.

Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF) is currently seeking applicants for our Parent Leader position as part of our parent leadership project Parents Organized to Work for Equal Rights (POWER). It would be greatly appreciated if you could forward this to your networks and anyone you feel might be interested in this opportunity. Parents will be provided with a $600 stipend for their participation and child care and food will be provided during meetings.

POWER is a parent education and leadership project that trains Parent Leaders to make their voices heard and trains them to conduct workshops to teach other parents about their rights and give them information and access to useful resources.

Applicants should be Asian Pacific American parents who are interested in making change on behalf of the Asian Pacific American community. It is preferable that applicants are bilingual in English and one of the following languages: Bengali, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Punjabi, Tagalog, Urdu and Vietnamese. Meetings will be held in English, but we encourage parents with limited English skills to apply. Applicants should be able to make a 2 year commitment and attend monthly 3 hour meetings (to be held every 2nd Saturday of the month).

If you know of any interested applicants, please let us know.
